Greetings

It is my great pleasure to introduce the Daegu Metropolitan City and Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry(DCCI) to our friends in the global community.
Daegu Metropolitan City is currently the third largest city in Korea with population of 2.5 million.
It is a center for transportation, education, culture and environment.

Recently, Daegu Metropolitan City has hosted the 'IAAF World Championships 2011', 'WEC's 2013 Congress' and 'World Water Forum 2015' in April of last year successfully. Also it has been selected for the privilege of hosting the 'World Gas Conference 2021'.

DCCI is the only comprehensive economic organization in Daegu and encompasses more than 5,800 members from a broad spectrum of individuals and companies in the local economy. Daegu has become well known for its fashion and textile industries. Other major industries include machinery and metal(especially precision machinery), auto parts, electronics, and manufacturing optical lenses.

By developing these main industries as well as others, DCCI promotes advancement in Daegu's commerce and industry, for the sound growth of local economy.
