The City of Daegu (Mayor Young-jin Kwon) announced that as of January 2015 the number of applications for exhibition booths at the 7th World Water Forum 2015 Daegu & Gyeongbuk reached 717, exceeding its goal of 700 booths.
With the 7th World Water Forum 2015 Daegu & Gyeongbuk only 90 days away and an expected participation of over 35,000 man-days by representatives from 170 countries worldwide, the City of Daegu is hard at work making all necessary preparations, including accommodations, transportation, tourism, food, and safety, striving to become a hub of the water industry through its successful hosting of the forum.
The forum will be held at Daegu EXCO from April 12 to 17, 2015. By January 2015, 717 applications for exhibition booths (343 domestic and 374 overseas) from 112 organizations (72 domestic and 40 overseas) from 26 countries around the world had been received, exceeding the goal of 700 booths. The 7th World Water Forum 2015 Daegu & Gyeongbuk is anticipated to be a smashing success as inquiries regarding participation are still pouring in, even after all booths have already been sold.
At the event, there will be national booths representing Holland, Denmark, the United States, Mexico, Japan, China, and Taiwan, as well as Brazil, the host country for the next forum, and France, the host country of the previous forum. The world’s major water companies will also be participating, including Suez, Masdar, Toray Chemical, and POSCO E&C. With such a concentration of talent and experience, it is expected that there will be exhibitions of various significant policies and cutting-edge technologies aimed at resolving the world’s water problems.

The forum will be held on the first and third floors of EXCO, occupying a space of 18,287 square meters with a total of 900 booths. There will be both national and corporate booths with exhibitions in various water-related fields, including water resource management, water treatment, alternative water resources, energy, infrastructure, governance, and related industries. As the host city, Daegu will run a booth promoting the Daegu brand to the world and introducing its major water-related policies, such as those on advanced water supply and drainage management technology and its water industry cluster. The forum will be open every day from 10:00 to 18:00, but from 10:00 to 17:00 on Friday, April 17, the last day of the event.
The World Water Forum exhibition is not only a venue for the development of solutions to water problems and technology exchange among participating organizations, but also an opportunity for citizens to learn about water, observe demonstrations of water-related equipment produced by advanced corporations, engage in diverse discussions, and exchange information regarding solutions to water problems.
