
The Chairman of DCCI, Jin Young Hwan says ¡¸The delegation-DCCI Luncheon Meeting¡¹ was opened at Hotel Interbulgo 26th April 2017.
This Meeting was held by request of Indian Delegation in order to discuss the way for the cooperation between Daegu and India Textile Industry. The Secretary of Ministry of Textiles in India, Rashmi Verma, says “Indian Productivity with Textile Technology in Daegu will make synergy effect.” and “India has inexpensive labour but faces technological limitation. However, if India were being manufacturing place through Make In India with Korea Plus, both have reduction in costs as well as easy to enter the Indian market.
Following this saying, the Executive Vice-Chairman of DCCI, Lee Jae Kyung says “The economy in Daegu was started from Textile, which is now still one of the three major industries.” Furthermore, Textile Industry had met recession for short days due to challenge of Newly Industrial Countries such as China; however, we overcome it by technology development and innovation. Hence, we are now the time to cooperate with India to go further development to the world market. As Indian Textile companies were in PID, we actively support many Korean Textile companies will attend in ‘Textiles of India 2017’ “
